Edit a collection submission

You can edit your collection submission to update its title, description, tags, license, contributors, and collection metadata.

You must have admin access in order to edit a collection submission.

  1. Open The Edit View
  2. Project Metadata
  3. Project Contributors
  4. Collection Metadata
  5. Update

1. Open the edit view

From the project overview page, click the pencil icon next to the Collection name.

2. Project metadata

Update the project title, description, license, and tags in their respective fields.

Then, click Save and continue.

3. Project contributors

  1. You can add more contributors by typing their names into the search box. If your collaborators have accounts on the OSF, their names will appear below the "Results" section. If they dont have an account on the OSF, you can add them as an unregistered contributor by clicking the blue Add author by email address button. Click the green Add button to add additional contributors.
  2. You can reorder authors by clicking the icon with 3 bars to the left of the author's name, and then dragging and dropping the names into the correct order.
  3. You can modify authors' permissions and indicate whether or not they should appear in citations.
  4. You can also remove authors by clicking the red Remove button to the right of the author.

Then click Continue.

4. Collection metadata

You can update the metadata associated with the collection by using the dropdown menus.

Then, click Continue.

5. Update

When you are finished edited your Collection submission, click Update at the bottom of the page.
